New plug-in “Reverb” [The old plug-in with this name has been renamed “Reverb (Legacy)”]:
The plug-in “Plate Reverb” has been moved into the new plug-in “Reverb”, where it is available as the mode “Plate”.
The gain structure of the “Plate” algorithm has been reworked to match the other new reverb effects (see below). Old projects which use this reverb will still run the old gain structure, so there will be no difference in the sound.
New modes “Room” & “Hall”.
The old plug-in “Distortion” is now available as the mode “Mulholland”.

Saving in the plug-ins native file formats:
Maschine can save in the native file formats of KOMPLETE instruments. To enable this feature, please install the latest updates of your KOMPLETE instruments available in Service Center.
The files are saved into the folder “User Content”. This is a new folder which will be used by all KIEs, KK, and Maschine. It is located at User/Native Instruments/User Content.
The Attribute Sections (“Types” and “Modes”) can be folded in to make more room for the results list on smaller display resolutions.
Pattern Editor Context Menu (access via right-click on the background): New entries “Quantize” & “Quantize 50%”.
MIDI Input Modes, Parameter “Source”:
Old mode “Off” renamed to “Focus”, no change in “behavior”.
New mode “Off” (true off for MIDI In).
“All” is not changed.
Sounds which do not have notes in a Group Pattern are exported as empty MIDI tracks.
Control Area, Assignment tab:
New context menu with access to existing functionality, plus functions “Cut” and “Paste” for external plug-ins and additionally “Copy” for Maschine Macros.
When applying a sliced sample to a Sound in an otherwise empty Group, the root note of the Sounds in that Group is set to C-2, matching the key zones of the slices.
Komplete Kontrol S Keyboards:
Firmware updated. Maschine 2.3 requires the latest KOMPLETE KONTROL S firmware to be installed on your device. Download the Device Updater from: “http://www.native-instruments.com/kbd-device-updater-mac”.
All touch strip modes known from CE are now available in Maschine: “Standard”, “Spring”, “Ball”, “Stepped”.
New mode “Tempo” for the Modulation strip. Movement can be synced to beats.
Settings for the Modulation Strips can be changed from the hardware, and they are synchronized between Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
When changing the octave of the key bed, the current octave is shown in the display.
Key switches that are named in Kontakt will display their names on the displays when activated.
New key mode “Guide” that only lights up keys that are in the currently selected scale, but all other keys remain playable.
Shift + Master encoder adjusts the volume of the currently focused Sound, and the level is shown on the display.
64bit projects do not open in 32bit instances of Maschine.
64bit version of the Maschine plug-in is shown as 32bit version on Windows.
Crash when deleting certain sample types from the user library.
